Nancy J. Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has been providing mental health services for over 12 years to the eastern Wake County communities of Zebulon, Wendell and Knightdale and surrounding counties. I am now in the Eastern Trauma & Recovery building in Spring Hope, conveniently located right off of highway 64, only 11 minutes from Zebulon. I provide counseling for older teens, individuals and families.
Nancy earned a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from North Carolina State University, a Master of Social Work Degree from East Carolina State University and is a long-standing member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Models include, but are not limited to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I am taking courses around Trauma-Focused CBT. I love animals, and have always had an interest in the horse/human relationship, and was certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)and Equine Assisted Learning through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) but am not currently at a farm.
