What to expect during initial session:

Each person has different needs and expectations when coming to a therapist, so therefore, time is taken to carefully address those needs.  On arrival, I will meet with you, or a parent, to gain a thorough history and discuss areas of concern, needs, and define goals for treatment.  We will discuss family history, developmental history, current behaviors, symptoms and my techniques.  A treatment plan will be developed and home interventions will be given to address parenting, and or self with which to work.

I will make a referral for services if deemed necessary such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, medical or other community resources.

How long will sessions last?

The first appointment can last up to 75 minutes depending on the complexity of the issues.  The following sessions are usually 45 to 50 minutes for teens, and 60 minutes for adults.

What are my hours?
Clients are seen by appointment only.

Is therapy confidential?
